Spokane is blessed with quality, easily accessible urban climbing. Most of the climbing is on outcroppings and boulders of Selkirk granite exposed during the Ice Age Lake Missoula floods. The exception is Deep Creek, which has steep climbing on chunky basalt.
Camping is available at Riverside State Park. Spokane offers a full selection of motels, restaurants and bars.
