Frenchman Coulee Cleanup

A few people banded together over the weekend to help clean up the messes. Here's a link from CC.com:

Also, we only found two of the new nice steel plate signs. Does anyone know who made these and how we could get more? Also, how many have been made? I seem to remember more than two from last season.

John Crock, who owns outdoor stores in Yakima and Moscow ID, had the original signs made up a few years ago (2003?). PM me if you're interested in getting in touch with him to find out the details. This would be great project to take on! (Hint, hint.)

Do you know how many of the signs were made? I fear that some have been stolen or strategically hid somewhere on the mesa.

From memory, I think there were 4 to 6:

1. "Don't Bust the Crust" sign shortly after leaving the parking lot

2. Sign to pointing Sunshine Wall trail where trail branches off of road from parking area (by Agathla Tower)

3. Sign pointing to Sunshine Wall & Middle East Wall trails where those trails split

4. Maybe a sign directing where the Sunshine Wall trail continues where you pop up on top of the mesa and it's kind of wide open

5. Sign pointing to Sunshine Wall & the Far End trails where those trails split

6. Maybe one other "Don't Bust the Crust" sign along the way

That's 4 missing signs. Maybe we'll have to have a search party, instead of a trail party:(
