The day after the race event, I went up to Exfoliation Dome and took a few picures of the ropes and some of the vegetation impact from this event (they built trails and trimmed brush on the approach route, and completely stomped a beautiful subalpine meadow on a high terrace up on the West Face of the Dome - impacts from which the area will recover with time, but never-the-less disturbing). I HAVE gone back up and looked around a bit more, finding that they did an excellent job of cleaning up their trash

I have also heard from race participants that they left a lot of sewage behind, even though the Primal Quest rep who posted on the Subaru site and also on cascadeclimbers.com said or at least tried to imply that they had not. I didn't go crawling around in the bushes looking for it, but it looks as if they at least picked up their toilet paper.

I still have not had an opportunity to go up and look at their former anchor stations, to see what kind of bolts they may have left behind.

Has anybody else gone up there to check it out? Ideas? I would like to write some kind of letter to Subaru and to the Forest Service, asking that greater care be utilized in the future.
